Belarus is in talks to sell its state-owned potash company Belaruskali, The Wall Street Journal reports. The fertilizer producer is estimated to be worth about $20 billion. The proceeds will help stabilize the country’s economy.
Russia’s Suleiman Kerimov has discussed with officials for a controlling stake, but a price could not be agreed upon. The Belarusian government has also held talks with Chinese investors for a 25% stake sale, but failed to reach an agreement.
