AvSuper has named Scott Malpass as its first investment officer, I&T News reports. Malpass will be responsible for analyzing fund manager performance and custody. He will also deal with AvSuper’s investment consultants and other investment issues. Before this, Malpass was an aircraft engine and airframe technician for the Royal Australian Air Force. The aviation and aviation safety industry super fund consists of 24 fund managers to manage $1.2 billion for 6,000 members.
