Transamerica Retirement Services has appointed Jim Kais as vice president and director of institutional sales and special markets. Kais, who reports to Jason Crane, senior vice president and national sales director, will continue to serve as vice president of special markets. In his new role, he will be responsible for new sales, client development and strategy for Transamerica’s multiple-employer and Taft-Hartley plan businesses. Kais is also taking charge of the extra responsibility held by Kelly Michel, senior vice president of institutional sales and business development.
