Gates Foundation Donates $12M For Vaccine

The Gates Foundation has granted a two-year $12 million donation to the Sabin Vaccine Institute.

The Gates Foundation has granted a two-year $12 million donation to the Sabin Vaccine Institute, Sage Nonprofit Solutions reports. The grant will be used to make a vaccine for hookworm.

The donation will be used to fund Phase one clinical trials for the vaccine to fight the disease. The vaccine will be created in partnership by Sabin, the Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, James Cook University in Australia and the London School of Hygiene.
