Marathon Petroleum is looking for new deals and assets that fit its plan of refining oil and distributing the fuels produced, Reuters reports. The company’s search for new deals is a part of a strategy to grow its Speedway operations.
Marathon also aims to add more retail assets in the U.S. Southeast. Currently, it manages six refineries with over 1.1 million barrels per day of refining capacity, 9,600 miles of pipeline and 1,350 Speedway locations in seven states.
