UBS has boosted its global mergers and acquisitions team with the appointment of two co-heads, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Swiss bank has promoted Liam Beere, head of its European M&A group, and Cary Kochman, head of the Americas M&A, as joint global heads of M&A. Kochman has been working with UBS since 2004 and became the M&A head in 2010, while Beere came in 1992 and became the chairman of the EMEA business review group since 2007. Additionally, UBS has also named Stephen Paine as joint head of the U.K. unit alongside Tim Waddell, while Alison Harding-Jones and Jonathan Rowley have been appointed joint heads of EMEA M&A.
