S&P Indices has launched the new commodity producers index series, PLANSPONSOR reports. The S&P Commodity Producers Index Series comprises publicly traded companies engaged in the exploration and production of commodities.

The series involves three indices, the S&P Commodity Producers Agribusiness Index, the S&P Commodity Producers Gold Index and the S&P Commodity Producers Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Index. The publicly traded companies in the new index series are drawn from the S&P Global Broad Market Index.
