CalPERS’ senior real estate portfolio manager, James Lasher, has resigned from his current position, Pensions & Investments reports. He is one of three senior portfolio managers for the real estate program and all three fund managers operate under the direction of senior investment officer of real estate, Ted Eliopoulos.
Lasher joined CalPERS two years ago and was managing investments in 20 funds focused on residential investments. The $226.5 billion system will now shift assets of the $6.8 billion legacy portfolio managed by Lasher and ultimately sell those assets under a three-year plan.
