First India Fund Listed On AlphaMetrix

V.E.C. Investments has floated the V.E.C. India Special Situations Fund as a transparent fund on the AlphaMetrix Global Marketplace.

V.E.C. Investments has floated the V.E.C. India Special Situations Fund as a transparent fund on the AlphaMetrix Global Marketplace. This is the first India vehicle to be listed on the marketplace. Chicago-based AlphaMetrix is an electronic marketplace servicing more than $6.3 billion in assets as of September 2011. It provides an independent platform for private placement investing in instruments such as hedge funds and private equity funds.

The V.E.C. vehicle is managed by a former Fidelity portfolio manager, Arun Mehra. As head of investment strategy & portfolio manager, Mehra established Fidelity International‘s India investment business from 2003-2006.
