Deutsche AM Unit Replaces EM Head

Deutsche Bank’s asset management unit, DWS, has named Andreas Römer head of emerging markets.

Deutsche Bank’s asset management unit, DWS, has named Andreas Römer head of emerging markets, Citywire reports. Römer has replaced Thomas Gerhardt, who joined the Deutsche Bank group in 1994. Gerhardt managed about €5 billion in assets at DWS, comprising the DWS Emerging Markets Typ O, the DWS Invest BRIC Plus and the DWS Top 50 Asia funds. Römer will also take over the equity team from the beginning of April.
