ALFA is acquiring a 49% stake in telecom company, Alestra, for an undisclosed sum. The Mexican conglomerate will become a 100% shareholder of Alestra after the acquisition of AT&T’s stake.Alestra will continue providing services to a full set of enterprise clients, such as the corporate enterprise market, public and institutional sectors and small and medium operations in Mexico. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2011.
