Private equity firm, Terra Firma, and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) have invested $529 million in Dublin-based aircraft lessor, AWAS, The Wall Street Journal reports. The investors will also inject a further $200 million for future acquisitions.
After the investment, Terra Firma’s stake in the business will be lowered to 60%, while CPPIB, which is putting in a greater proportion of the investment, will have 25% and other investors’ 15%. AWAS will use the investment to pay for the 110 planes that it has already ordered.
