Contour Energy Systems, an Azusa developer of advanced battery technology, has raised $20 million in a series C round of venture capital financing. SBI Jefferies Asia Fund was the new investor in the fundraising process.
Existing investors CMEA Capital, Harris & Harris Group, Schlumberger and U.S. Venture Partners also participated. The company will use the funds to commercialize and accelerate time-to-market cycles for its portfolio of next-generation primary and rechargeable batteries as well as to expand production capacity.
