Total and ExxonMobil will form a partnership to consider the shale gas potential of ExxonMobil’s Chelm and Werbkowice concessions in Poland. Under the agreement, the partnership will be operated by ExxonMobil.

ExxonMobil will operate the exploration concessions with 51%, whileTotal will hold the remaining stake to assess the Lublin basin. The move is subject to approval of the Polish authorities.
