Italian utility company Enel has completed the sale of its Bulgarian thermal power plant, Maritsa East Three. The plant was sold to U.S. fund Contour Global. The deal has valued the plant at €545 million.
In March, Enel decided to sell its 73% stake in the 908 megawatt plant to the U.S. fund for €230 million. Bulgarian state utility NEK is the owner of the remaining 27% of the stake, adds Reuters.
