Invesco PowerShares Capital Management, a global provider of ETFs, has released the dividend distribution for the recently listed PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio (SPLV). The fund will track the performance of the S&P 500 Low Volatility Index and will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the index. The index, which is calculated by Standard & Poor’s, comprises 100 stocks from the S&P 500 Index with the lowest realized volatility over the past 12 months. PowerShares ETFs that trade on both U.S. stock exchanges, held franchise assets over $57 billion, as of June 30.
