MGP Sells VA Asset For $101M

Rockville-based Washington Real Estate Investment Trust has bought Braddock Place in Alexandria, Virginia from MGP Real Estate for about $101 million.

Rockville-based Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (Writ) has bought Braddock Place in Alexandria, Virginia from MGP Real Estate for about $101 million. The office campus, which includes four buildings and a two-level underground parking garage, is 92 percent leased to 13 associations and government contractors.

The seller acquired the buildings from ING Clarion for $106.5 million in 2008. The trust paid for the acquisition with proceeds from its recent sales of industrial properties.
