GS Capital Partners, the private equity unit of Goldman Sachs, is likely to acquire Apple American Group, The Wall Street Journal reports. Weston Presidio is selling the franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar restaurants in the U.S.

The financial terms of the proposed deal have not been disclosed. GS Capital previously owned Apple American but sold it to Weston Presidio in 2005 for an undisclosed amount.
