HSBC Bank (China) has appointed Peter Wong as Chairman, The Wall Street Journal reports. In his new role, he will supersede Vincent Cheng, who stepped down from the role recently.
Wong, who joined HSBC in 2005, was presently HSBC’s CEO for the Asia Pacific region. He has held senior management roles, including deputy chairman of HSBC China since April 2007 and previously served in a similar role in the Hong Kong Association of Banks, adds Reuters.
