Prudential RE To Buy U.S. Office For $182M

Prudential Real Estate Investors, the real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial, is buying 16-story office tower at 22 W. Washington Street for $182 million.

Prudential Real Estate Investors, the real estate investment management business of Prudential Financial, is buying 16-story office tower at 22 W. Washington Street for $182 million, Chicago Real Estate Daily reports. The seller is a venture between Chicago-based Golub & Co. and New York–based investment manager BlackRock. The property is 98.9 percent leased to firms such as Morningstar and WBBM-TV/Channel 2.

Chicago-based Holliday Fenoglio Fowler is handling the sale of the property. In July, Israeli-based investor IDB Group had offered $187 million for the building, but the deal fell through. Prudential is acquiring Sono East, a 324-unit apartment building under construction on the edge of Lincoln Park.
