Nordic Capital has emerged as lead bidder for IK Investment Partners’ stake in Norwegian discount chain Europris, AltAssets reports. The deal is expected to fetch between €400 million and €500 million.
The transaction will be financed with about €200 million in debt from Oslo-based banks Nordea and DnB NOR. Scandinavian buyout firm EQT was also in the running, but pulled out because it believed the valuation to be too high.
