The Investment Management Association (IMA) has postponed the implementation date for the modernization of its managed sector, Financial Times reports. The investment trade body moved the implementation date to Oct. 1, 2011, after its members requested for more time to respond to the proposals. The consultation period on the sectors has been extended to July 29 from June 17. The association seeks to rebrand the Active, Balanced and Cautious sectors to Managed A, B and C from July 1, 2011. IMA is also proposing to add a fourth D sector from Jan. 1, 2012.
