U.S. money market fund specialist Federated Investors is seeking to launch a series of active ETFs, Financial Times reports. The new ETFs will invest in everything from equities and fixed-income securities to currencies, though derivatives will remain off limits. The Pittsburgh-based manager has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the same. The Federated Active UltraShort Fixed Income ETF is the first ETF that Federated expects to bring to market, adds Index Universe. This ETF’s holdings will include investment-grade and non-investment-grade corporate as well as U.S. government debt.
