Smith Breeden Associates CEO, Eugene Flood, is stepping down from his role to join TIAA-CREF as executive vice president, Pensions & Investments reports. The asset management firm has now appointed Michael Giarla to take charge as CEO.
At present, Giarla serves as chairman of Smith Breeden. Flood has been a member of the CREF and TIAA-CREF Mutual Funds board of trustees and chairman of their investment committees, since 2005.
