Polaris Venture Partners has raised $375 million in capital for its sixth fund, Fortune reports. The Massachusetts-based firm will maintain its tri-furcated investment strategy by investing one-third in technology, one-third in life sciences and one-third in growth equity.
Polaris was initially seeking $500 million, but later lowered the target to $400 million for the fifth fund. The firm recently made its final new investment out of the Polaris Venture Partners V, a $1 billion fund raised in early 2006.
