Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, the brokerage unit of Bank of America Corp., has appointed Bruce Lee and Jim Hoesley as financial advisers in its Private Banking and Investment Group, The Wall Street Journal reports. Based in Chicago, they join from the U.S. private banking business of Swiss lender Credit Suisse Group. The duo generated $8 million in fees and commissions and managed $1.2 billion in client assets.
Lee will also take up a national leadership role at Merrill Lynch, focusing on supporting growth in the ultra-high-net-worth segment. Meanwhile, Chris Sotus, Mike McCullough and Alex Jarman of Wells Fargo Advisors, the brokerage unit of Wells Fargo & Co., also joined Merrill Lynch.
