Standard Life Investments (SLI) is launching a global small-cap fund, Financial Times reports. The Global Smaller Companies fund, which is likely to float at the start of 2012, will be managed by Harry Nimmo.
He also manages the soft-closed £1.3 billion U.K. Smaller Companies fund. The new vehicle will hold between 40 and 80 stocks, similar to Nimmo’s U.K. small-cap fund, adds Investment Week.
