Wells Real Estate Investment Trust II will acquire Washington DC office complex, Market Square, for about $615 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. Boston-based Beacon Capital Partners has sold the two-building office complex.

The other bidders interested in the auction included Brookfield Properties, Vornado Realty Trust and Paramount Group. Beacon was represented by brokerage, Eastdil Secured, in the Market Square sale.
