CBOE Holdings will move trading operations of its Chicago-based stock exchange to the East Coast to gain high-speed traders. The CBOE Stock Exchange will now start trading from Equinix’s NY4 Internet Business Exchange datacenter in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The Equinix center also serves CBOE’s new electronic stock-options exchange C2. The CBOE stock market has also simplified its trading fees, charging the same for transactions that add liquidity to the marketplace as well as for those that feed on the liquidity.
