Axa Private Equity has bought a $740 million portfolio of private equity fund investments from Barclays, Financial Times reports. The portfolio does not include any investments managed by Barclays Private Equity, adds The Wall Street Journal reports. The portfolio includes investments in private equity funds, including KKR, Carlyle and Cinven, as well as several direct private equity interests held by Barclays Capital. The purchase price for the portfolio was not disclosed.
