Media Super has invested $30 million in an absolute return strategy of Aurora Funds Management, Investor Daily reports. The Aurora Fortitude Absolute Return Strategy focuses on extracting alpha from the Australian equity market through a range of strategies, such as merger arbitrage, convergence trades and options. The fund has a six-year track record and has produced an annualized return of 9.32% after fees to July 2011. Media Super oversees approximately $2.6 billion in assets for more than125,000 members.
