New York State Common Retirement Fund has terminated a $21 million small-cap growth portfolio run by Insight Capital Research & Management, Pensions & Investments reports. The termination was part of the systems ongoing reduction of equity exposure following a 2009 asset allocation study. The account was terminated at the end of last year. Separately, the pension fund has also made a $100 million investment with an emerging markets-focused hedge fund, Discovery Global Opportunity Partners.
