U.K. Structured Products Association (SPA) has elected Jamie Smith as its chairman, Financial Times reports. Smith is the head of distribution at Lloyds Banking Group. He will work with the European and Swiss SPAs to ensure interaction and stability across Europe and will help it generate awareness of, and lobby for, the investment class. SPA is an organization formed by U.K companies that create and distribute structured products to the UK financial services market.
Smith will take over from James Harrington, U.K. financial services firm Legal & General’s head of business development, and will remain chairman till the end of next year.
