Asahi To Buy Malaysia’s Permanis For $274M

Asahi is acquiring Malaysian soft drinks company Permanis from CI Holdings.

Asahi is acquiring Malaysian soft drinks company Permanis from CI Holdings, The Wall Street Journal reports. The brewer and softdrink maker will pay $274 million for the stake. The deal is scheduled to be completed around November, subject to government and shareholder approval. Permanis has the exclusive rights to bottle, market and sell PepsiCo brands.
