Enel To Offer €1B In Debt

The board of directors of Italian electricity company, Enel, has approved a €1 billion bond issue.

The board of directors of Italian electricity company, Enel, has approved a €1 billion bond issue, The Wall Street Journal reports. The bonds will be offered to institutional investors. The offering is expected to be carried out by Enel or its wholly owned Dutch subsidiary, Enel Finance International. The bond issue may be started by the end of 2011.
