The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation has provided a total $20 million gift to the High Line park in New York. The Diller – von foundation is a private family foundation, established by Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg in 1999. The grant will support the fundraising efforts for the park, managed in partnership with Friends of the High Line, to alter its final, undeveloped section at the West Side Rail Yards.

Part of the total funds will go to the park’s endowment for long-term maintenance, adds The Wall Street Journal. It will also help finance the development of the third and final section of the High Line, still held by CSX Transportation. The High Line’s nonprofit conservancy group requires $150 million for the park’s maintenance and extension.
