MOL has entered a share purchase and share option agreement with Italian lender, UniCredit, Reuters reports. As per the deal, UniCredit will now own around 2.914 million shares of the Hungarian oil group.
As per the share option, MOL has an American call option and UniCredit a European put option in relation to such shares, which mature in one year. After the transaction, Budapest-based MOL will hold around 4.52 million of its own shares.
