The Federal Reserve Board will release data on emergency lending to banks during the financial crisis after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected efforts by banks to keep the information secret. A federal appeals court had ordered release of the data, but bankers tried to block it claiming information on which banks received bailout funds could lead the public to make incorrect inferences about the current health of the institutions.
