The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has given a grant of $12 million to Next Generation Learning Challenges.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has given a grant of $12 million to Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC). The grants will be part of NGLC’s Wave III model that seeks to fundamentally alter the design and delivery of education across secondary and postsecondary institutions. Aided by its funding partners the Gates Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, NGLC has provided $17.5 million in grants to 48 organizations and institutions in 33 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.K. NGLC aims to spot innovations with potential help and scale them to provide access to an increased number of students.
