Fitch Solutions reported that its credit default swaps liquidity score signals “high levels of uncertainty on the prospects of consumer-services companies,” especially in Europe and North America. Fitch noted that consumer-service companies in these regions currently represent a disproportionate percentage of the most liquid firms. Liquidity of a credit derivatives asset typically increases when it is shows signs of financial stress in combination with a significant amount of outstanding debt and/or changes in capital structures.
