Flexible solar panel manufacturer SoloPower has raised $15 million of a targeted $43.8 million in its fifth round of venture funding, Reuters reports. Greentech Capital in New York and Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco participated in the round, adds Tech Crunch.
Existing investors include Hudson Clean Energy Partners, Crosslink Capital, Convexa, and Firsthand. The company will use the funds to build its first commercial-scale factory and boost sales and marketing efforts. In March, the firm raised nearly $13.5 million in equity.
