The New Jersey Division of Investment has appointed Bryan Martin as its real estate head, Pensions & Investments reports. He will be managing a $6 billion portfolio of assets that include real estate, commodity exchange-traded funds, hedge funds, equities and oil and gas partnerships of the Trenton-based pension fund.
The unit that Martin is joining manages investments for the $73.2 billion New Jersey pension system. Before this, Martin was director of investments at the Indiana State Teachers’ Retirement Fund and director of alternative investments for the Indiana Public Employees’ Retirement Fund.
