Advent International will acquire a majority stake in the card systems and identity unit of Oberthur Technologies. The global private equity firm will pay a total of around €1.15 billion for the acquisition. After the deal, the French secure technology company will retain a minority stake of about 10% in the company. Advent will also support the company’s growth via potential external acquisitions.
