The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) is seeking to appoint 8-20 emerging domestic equity managers, Pensions & Investments reports. The hired managers are likely to handle around $20-50 million each.
The pension fund defines U.S. emerging managers as either women- or minority-owned or Ohio-qualified managers with less than $750 million under management. The system, which has set July 1 as the last date for applying, is likely to take a final decision by the end of the year.
