Bank of Nova Scotia has issued covered notes worth $2 billion, Reuters reports. The notes were sold in the 144a private placement market. The notes carry a coupon rate of 2.15% and are due to mature on Aug. 3, 2016. Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Bank of Nova Scotia and UBS were the joint bookrunners for the sale.
