The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) will provide Danish company Dong Energy a $328 million loan. The loan, which has a maturity of 10 years, will be used to help finance its project in Anholt, Denmark.
The Anholt offshore wind farm will supply carbon dioxide–free power corresponding to the annual power consumption of more than 400,000 Danish households. The wind farm project comprises 111 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 megawatts. Anholt offshore wind farm is likely to supply its first power in 2012.
