Henderson Group will acquire rival asset manager, Gartmore Group, for £335.3 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. As per the deal, Gartmore shareholders will own 22.5% of Henderson after receiving 0.6667 of a new Henderson share for each Gartmore share. Henderson has appointed UBS and Ondra Partners for advice on the transaction, while Gartmore hired Goldman Sachs as financial adviser. The acquisition will create a company with £78.1 billion combined estimated assets under management, out of which Henderson accounts for £61.6 billion.
