First State Floats EM Bond Fund

First State Investments, an international operation of Colonial First State Global Asset Management, has rolled out the First State Emerging Markets Bond fund for investors in the U.K. and Europe.

First State Investments, an international operation of Colonial First State Global Asset Management, has rolled out the First State Emerging Markets Bond fund for investors in the U.K. and Europe, FundWeb reports. The product will invest in a portfolio of between 50 and 120 hard-currency debt securities.

The U.S. dollar-denominated securities will be issued by governments, financial institutions or companies in emerging markets. The vehicle, to be managed by Helene Williamson, will have an initial charge of 4 percent, an annual management charge of 1.25 percent of net asset value and a minimum investment of £1,000. It will also aim to outperform its JP Morgan EMBI Global Diversified index benchmark.
