Wells Fargo Funds Management is seeking to merge eight advantage mutual funds in the next quarter, MutualFundWire reports. The bank will merge the Classic Value, the Core Equity, the Disciplined Global Equity, the Disciplined Value, the Growth Opportunities, the Mid Cap Growth, the Small Cap Growth and the VT Core Equity pending shareholder approval.
The lenders Emerging Growth fund, which is acquiring the Small Cap Growth, will close to new investors. Wells Fargo will also shift management of the Disciplined U.S. Core and two mutual fund component portfolios.
