Merriman Hires Advisory Services Head

U.S. money manager Merriman Holdings’ subsidiary Merriman Capital has appointed Ronald Richards as head of strategic business advisory services.

U.S. money manager Merriman Holdings’ subsidiary Merriman Capital has appointed Ronald Richards as head of strategic business advisory services. He will bolster Merriman’s investment banking services, general corporate financing activity and mergers and acquisitions advisory services by developing a strategic operations advisory practice for the firm.

Richards will be offering a restructuring and general capital markets advice to public companies with less than $250 million in market capitalization. Most recently, he was with management consulting firm Gray Wolf Partners as founder and managing director and advised companies on financial and market strategies. Richards also heads the board of optical sighting systems manufacturer Optex Systems Holdings and is a director of sealing films and foils manufacturer EGCell Scientific.
